Dr. T.S. Rangan is the Founding Partner and Chief Research Fellow of Rangan’s Research in Economics & Governance LLP and brings over 25 years of leadership experience from Fortune 500 and multinational corporations, including Xerox, Procter & Gamble, Zeneca ICI, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, PI Industries, and Strides Arcolab.
In 2013, he left his corporate career to pursue a prestigious full-time Post-PhD Visiting Fellowship at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Boston. His research on corporate governance received High Commendation from MIT Sloan – a rare recognition.
Upon returning to India in 2014, he founded Rupajan Management Consulting, anchoring its focus on academic engagement. Over the past decade, he has worked with 12,000+ students and academicians through initiatives such as ePace, Talent Lab, Cognition Workshops, and Boot Camps, supporting performance, career planning, and student development.
Dr. Rangan holds an MS in Information Systems, an MBA in Finance (Gold Medalist), an MPhil in Management, and a PhD in Management. His academic contributions include guest lectures, applied research, and curriculum advisory roles. He also served as the Government of India Nominee on the Central Council of ICWAI.
His current research examines how AI and digital technologies can strengthen corporate governance, board effectiveness, and institutional decision-making. Through his think tank, he aims to contribute reflective, practice-oriented research to academia, industry, and public institutions.
Dr. Janani Rangan is a Visiting Research Fellow at Rangans’ Research in Economics and Governance LLP. She holds a PhD in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), where her doctoral work focused on macroeconomic uncertainty and firm behaviour. Her research specialises in macroeconomics, monetary economics, international economics, and labour economics.
Dr. Janani Rangan has published in reputed academic and policy outlets and has presented her work at major national and international conferences. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Mahindra University, Hyderabad.
She has an strong academic record, having graduated as the gold medallist in M.A. Economics from Loyola College, Chennai, and silver medallist in B.A. Economics from Stella Maris College, Chennai.

Dr. Amrita Roy holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). Her research interests span demography, Indian economic and business history, and development economics, with a strong emphasis on empirical and data-driven analysis of long-term socio-economic patterns. She has extensive experience working with both contemporary and archival datasets, particularly those related to colonial India. Dr. Roy has strong research credentials, and her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals.
She is currently working as an independent researcher, pursuing multiple projects and collaborating closely with think tanks on research related to Indian business history.
